Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On January 30, 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations of Thailand, held talks with Mr. Bo Matiasson, Director of the Operations Division of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), during his visit to Thailand. They exchanged in-depth views on bilateral cooperation and relevant international issues.
During the talks, Director-General Pinsuda Jayanama, on behalf of Thailand, expressed gratitude to the UNODC for co-hosting the International Conference on Global Partnership to Combat Cyber Fraud (IC-GPOS). This conference, successfully held in Bangkok from December 17 to 18, 2025, provided an important platform for global exchange on combating cyber fraud.
Both sides focused on how to further consolidate the outcomes of the Bangkok meeting in subsequent international forums, specifically the Global Anti-Fraud Summit to be held in Vienna from March 16-17, 2026, and the 15th United Nations Conference on Crime to be held in Abu Dhabi from April 25-30, 2026—the most important international conference at the UN level on crime prevention and criminal justice. In addition, both sides exchanged views on other areas of cooperation, such as drug control and border management, further broadening the scope of cooperation.

Mr. Bo Matiasom highly praised the long-standing partnership between Thailand and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and expressed gratitude on behalf of the Office for Thailand's continued support.
It is understood that Thailand is home to the UNODC's Southeast Asia and Pacific Regional Office and has maintained close cooperation with the Office for many years, working together in areas such as drug control and combating transnational crime, building a solid foundation for cooperation and contributing to regional security and governance.
