
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On January 28, 2026, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sihasak Puangkchou held a bilateral meeting with Brunei Darussalam's Second Foreign Minister, Datuk Eliwan Peshin Yusof, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Informal Meeting in Cebu, Philippines.

The Brunei Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the well wishes sent by the King, Queen, and Prime Minister of Thailand following the Sultan of Brunei's knee replacement surgery.

The two foreign ministers reached a consensus to promote high-level exchanges between the two countries and deepen cooperation through bilateral mechanisms, focusing on key areas such as food security and economic cooperation. They also exchanged views on the situation following the ceasefire on the Thai-Cambodian border, the latest developments after the Myanmar elections, and ASEAN's role in promoting the peace process and reconciliation in Myanmar.
