Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com), January 19, 2026 – On that day, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department for International Organizations, met with Mr. Ken Legins, the newly appointed Representative of UNICEF (hereinafter referred to as "ICEF") to Thailand. During the meeting, Mr. Ken Legins formally presented his credentials to Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, completing the inauguration procedures for the Representative to Thailand, marking his official commencement of duties.
The two sides exchanged in-depth views on cooperation between Thailand and UNICEF, focusing on two core issues: first, UNICEF's organizational restructuring plan; and second, the drafting and advancement of the 2027-2031 Country Programme Document (CPD). During the talks, Director-General Pinsuda Jayanama reiterated that Thailand will fully support UNICEF's work in Thailand, helping it to better promote and protect the legitimate rights of Thai children.
