Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed that travel and tourism activities nationwide remain normal and unaffected. Security measures remain in place in parts of seven provinces along the Thai-Cambodian border: Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Surin, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat. The curfew in Trat was lifted on December 16, 2025, and the curfew in Sa Kaeo was lifted on December 30, 2025.

Nationwide, domestic and international transportation services, including air, rail, bus, and sea transport, are operating as usual. Major destinations such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya (Chonburi Province), and Ayutthaya continue to welcome tourists.

However, rail services in affected areas will be temporarily adjusted. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced the closure of Aranyaprathet Railway Station from December 21, 2025, until further notice. Train services on this line have also been adjusted. Regular trains 279/280 and 275/276 are currently only operating between Bangkok (Hua Lamphong Station) and Sa Kaeo Station, with subsequent services to Aranyaprathet suspended. Passengers can check real-time train timetables and service updates through SRT's online tracking system or by calling the SRT hotline 1690 (24-hour service).

Meanwhile, Bangkok Transport Company has temporarily closed the Kantarak Bus Terminal in Sisaket Province. Bus routes originally scheduled to run to this terminal have been adjusted, including route 98 (Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani) and route 4 (Bangkok to Kantarak to Venturi). All passengers traveling to and from Bangkok must use the Kaeng Chan Road intersection as a temporary boarding and alighting point. For inquiries, please call 02-936-3660.

Travelers traveling to Nong Tin Thanh District in Buriram Province are advised to avoid using Highway 348 from Kaeo Phet Phloi to Chong Tako and follow local instructions regarding alternative routes.

Travelers are advised to avoid all restricted areas and checkpoints along the Thai-Cambodian border, where security measures remain in place and entry/exit is suspended. These restrictions apply only to specific areas in seven provinces in eastern and northeastern Thailand; other areas continue to operate normally under the supervision of local authorities. Travelers are advised to follow local government guidance and check official updates before planning their trips.
