Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On December 18, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei met with Thailand's newly appointed Attorney General, Ittipol, to congratulate him on his new appointment and exchange views on deepening China-Thailand judicial and law enforcement cooperation and jointly combating transnational crime.
Ambassador Zhang Jianwei pointed out that His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand's successful state visit to China provided guidance for the future development of China-Thailand relations. Currently, China-Thailand judicial and law enforcement cooperation has yielded fruitful results, especially this year, with the successful extradition of suspects in major cases such as Zhou Jinghua and She Zhijiang. She Zhijiang is the ringleader of a gambling fraud syndicate in Myawaddy, Myanmar, involving over 2.7 billion yuan. This extradition is a significant achievement in China-Thailand anti-gambling fraud cooperation. Ambassador Zhang Jianwei expressed his gratitude for the strong support from the Thai prosecution, introduced China's progress in implementing Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law and comprehensively advancing the rule of law, and expressed hope to further strengthen exchanges of experience and pragmatic cooperation in the judicial field with the Thai prosecution, helping China-Thailand relations to continue to reach new heights.
Attorney General Itiporn welcomed Ambassador Zhang Jianwei's visit and responded positively to China's willingness to cooperate. He stated that Thailand is willing to learn from China's experience in governing the country according to law, promote closer judicial exchanges and personnel exchanges, expedite the handling of key extradition cases, jointly combat transnational crimes such as telecommunications and online fraud, and earnestly implement the consensus reached between China and Thailand on zero tolerance for cross-border crime. Attorney General Itiporn also expressed his anticipation of visiting China at an early date.
