Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) welcomes the latest results of Euromonitor International's "Top 100 Global Cities Destination Index 2025". The index confirms Bangkok as the world's most visited city in 2025, attracting 30.3 million international visitors.

TAT Governor Thapane Kiatpaipur stated, "Bangkok's top ranking as the world's most visited city demonstrates the enduring strength of Thailand's tourism ecosystem and confirms Bangkok's ability to provide meaningful, high-quality experiences for tourists. This recognition underscores our commitment to value-driven tourism, extending visitor stays, and responsible travel, while also helping Bangkok continue to build its image as a safe, vibrant, and globally competitive tourist destination."

In this ranking, Bangkok surpasses other major global tourist destinations, highlighting its continued appeal in areas such as leisure experiences, cultural heritage, culinary delights, and urban lifestyle. Euromonitor International uses over 50 assessment indicators to comprehensively evaluate 100 cities, covering core dimensions such as tourism performance, policy and attractiveness, infrastructure, health and safety, sustainability, and economic and business activity.

Euromonitor's analysis points out that top tourist destinations are gradually shifting from a focus on quantity to a focus on value, with a strategic focus on sustainable growth and long-term development. Despite facing global economic challenges and increasing regional competition, Bangkok has successfully maintained its position as the world's number one tourist destination thanks to its solid tourism fundamentals and stable international market demand.

Bangkok's unique charm stems from the perfect blend of historical landmarks and modern urban life: iconic temples, riverside neighborhoods and creative cultural districts, contemporary architecture and world-class shopping venues coexist harmoniously. Furthermore, Bangkok is renowned globally for its rich street food and Michelin-starred restaurants, convenient air transport network, and comprehensive service system, repeatedly winning top awards from leading international travel and lifestyle magazines. As the core gateway to Thai tourism, Bangkok continues to play a pivotal role in promoting the development of the national tourism industry and contributing to the achievement of balanced and sustainable tourism growth goals.

Bangkok's achievement of topping the list further solidifies Thailand's position in the global tourism sector and aligns with the Tourism Authority of Thailand's global communication campaign, "Unforgettable Experiences: Healing is the New Luxury," demonstrating Thailand's firm commitment to promoting sustainable, high-quality tourism development.

The "2025 Global Top 100 Cities Destinations Index" also predicts that major global cities will receive a total of 702 million international tourists by 2025, accounting for 46% of global inbound tourism.
