
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Recently, Shenzhen Bay Customs seized 1.3 grams of marijuana concealed in a chewing gum box by an inbound passenger.
On the same day, a male passenger entered China through the Shenzhen Bay Port and failed to declare the substance to customs upon entering the Shenzhen Bay Customs-controlled area. Customs officers conducted a routine inspection of the passenger. Upon inspection, customs officers found green, clump-like plants emitting a strong, pungent odor inside a chewing gum box, suspected to be marijuana. Subsequent professional testing confirmed that the substance contained tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), with a net weight of 1.3 grams. The case has been transferred to the Customs Anti-Smuggling Department for further investigation.
Customs reminds the public that marijuana is listed in the "List of Narcotic Drugs (2013 Edition)" and is a controlled narcotic drug in my country. According to the "Regulations on the Administration of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances," the state controls the medicinal plants used for narcotic drugs, as well as narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. According to Article 347 of the "Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China," smuggling, trafficking, transporting, or manufacturing drugs, regardless of quantity, shall be subject to criminal liability and punishment.
