According to the Guangdong Provincial Emergency Management Department, given the current stable rainfall and water levels across the province, and in accordance with the "Guangdong Provincial Flood Control, Drought Relief, Wind Prevention and Freeze Prevention Emergency Plan" and relevant regulations of the Guangdong Provincial Flood Control Headquarters, the Guangdong Provincial Flood Control Headquarters adjusted the flood control emergency response from Level III to Level IV at 10:00 AM on the 15th.
The Guangdong Provincial Emergency Management Department stated that currently, some rivers are maintaining high water levels for extended periods, and the soil moisture content in mountainous areas is high, posing a still relatively high risk of disasters.
The Guangdong Provincial Flood Control Headquarters requires all localities and departments to continue closely monitoring rainfall and water levels, strengthen duty shifts and consultation assessments, promptly activate or adjust emergency responses, strengthen dike patrols, emergency response, and geological disaster prevention, and strengthen the resettlement and management of evacuated personnel. Before the risk has been eliminated, unauthorized return is strictly prohibited; the principle of "no return until it is safe" must be strictly adhered to. (End)
