Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and to reflect the unique contributions of overseas Chinese in the war, the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, in conjunction with the China Overseas Chinese History Museum, launched the "United Hearts Across Ten Thousand Miles – A Special Exhibition Commemorating Overseas Chinese and the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War" simultaneously in 21 cities across Guangdong Province on the 14th.

This commemorative exhibition consists of four chapters: "Calling Out for the Nation to Support the War of Resistance," "Overseas Chinese Hearts United in the Face of National Crisis," "Sharing a Common Hatred to Defend Peace," and "Celebrating Victory and Remembering History." It displays artifacts from the China Overseas Chinese History Museum in photographic form, vividly portraying the heroic image of overseas Chinese who crossed thousands of miles to join the fight to defend their homeland, and their enduring legacy of fighting alongside people around the world to safeguard peace.

On the morning of the same day, Li Feng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and other guests gathered in the lobby of the Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Building to view the photo exhibition and learn more about the stories behind the pictures. Everyone expressed their commitment to carrying forward the spirit of overseas Chinese and making solid progress in understanding and promoting the role of overseas Chinese in the new era.

Under the overall coordination and deployment of the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, commemorative exhibitions were held simultaneously in 21 cities across Guangdong. Each city, drawing upon its local overseas Chinese cultural heritage, presented its own unique exhibition. For example, the Chaozhou Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese set up exhibitions at the Qinghuilou Overseas Chinese Correspondence Culture Museum, steeped in overseas Chinese history and culture, and at the Zaiyang "Home of Overseas Chinese" in Chaozhou, a blend of traditional Chaozhou architecture and Nanyang architectural styles. The Dongguan Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese organized visits for young people from the Hong Kong overseas Chinese community, enhancing their understanding of the history of the motherland and the nation.

This commemorative exhibition adopts a dual online and offline approach, a six-level vertical linkage of overseas Chinese federations, and a touring exhibition by university overseas Chinese federations, and will be held 95 times in 21 cities across the province.

After September 1st, this commemorative exhibition will tour universities and research institutions throughout Guangdong. The province-wide exhibition will continue until October 31st. (End)
