
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of the 29th of this month, two Cambodian women were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACU) on suspicion of bribing Ly Shamay and her accomplices with US$300,000 to help their children obtain customs positions in Battambang province.
The two arrested women, identified as Chhay Sok Vannaree and Hang Des Leireth, have been sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for questioning.
It is worth noting that Ly Shamay was arrested on suspicion of using the name of Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen to commit fraud. The Anti-Corruption Agency is continuing its investigation to uphold the rule of law and justice in the country.
