A drug-addicted man in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, violently resisted law enforcement, injuring four officers.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – A 28-year-old man in the Russey Keo district of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, violently attacked law enforcement officers during a drug withdrawal episode, resulting in minor injuries to four officers and damage to three motorcycles. The man has been arrested and sent to a drug rehabilitation center for treatment.

  It is understood that the man, experiencing an emotional breakdown due to drug withdrawal, caused extensive damage to his home. His family, unable to bear the disturbance, called the police for help. Upon receiving the report, the Russey Keo district police chief, Heng Thary, personally led a team to the scene.

  However, during the enforcement process, the man attacked the officers with stones and other hard objects. This violent resistance resulted in minor injuries to four police officers and security personnel, and damage to three police motorcycles.

  Currently, the man has been taken into custody by the police and transferred to a drug rehabilitation center for professional treatment. The police stated that they have zero tolerance for such violent resistance and appealed to the public to actively cooperate with law enforcement to maintain social order.
