The Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Bureau announced on the 11th that starting from the 13th, the province will be affected by a moderate to strong cold front, experiencing a temperature drop of 4°C to 8°C. The lowest temperatures are expected around the morning of the 15th, with the lowest temperatures across the province potentially dropping to 0°C, and some areas experiencing frost (ice).
The Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Bureau stated that, according to forecasts, from the 13th to the 14th, influenced by the southward movement of the cold front, the province will experience light to moderate rain and a temperature drop of 4°C to 8°C, accompanied by gusts of 5 to 7 levels. The lowest temperatures will occur around the morning of the 15th: 3 to 7°C in northern Guangdong, around 0°C in high-altitude mountainous areas with some frost (ice); 13 to 15°C in southern Guangdong; and 8 to 12°C in other areas. Temperatures will gradually rise during the day on the 15th.
Meteorological experts stated that starting from the 13th, most cities and counties in the province will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rain, and locally heavy rain. Temperatures will slowly and steadily decrease, feeling chilly. The lowest daytime temperatures will occur around evening, with northern Zhaoqing and northern parts of Guangdong province experiencing temperatures below 10℃.
The Guangdong Meteorological Bureau reminds the public that during this cold air mass's influence, winds over the sea will significantly increase and last for an extended period. Those engaging in maritime operations, transportation, or island tourism should exercise caution. Rain and fog will become more pronounced, resulting in low visibility; please be mindful of traffic safety.
