Typhoon No. 15 of 2025 in Vietnam has caused 4 casualties.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam reported that due to the impact of Typhoon No. 15, thunderstorms, strong winds, and high waves at sea caused the fishing boat NT-90329-TS to sink approximately 300 meters from Binh Thien Beach in Khanh Hoa Province, resulting in three missing persons. Local authorities are currently coordinating search and rescue operations with border guards.

  In Lam Dong Province, a basket boat belonging to Mr. D.Q.S., a resident of Lien Huong Village, Lien Huong Commune, Lam Dong Province, sank due to strong winds and waves, resulting in his death; 17 aquaculture cages and 26 aquaculture units were damaged; and a landslide occurred on approximately 200 meters of seawall in Ham Tien Ward.

  Preliminary estimates of losses exceed VND 5.6 billion. Local authorities are continuing to verify, tally, and assess the damage.

  According to the National Hydrometeorological Forecasting Center, Typhoon No. 15 remains unchanged in intensity and its direction of movement is generally stable, but its speed is slow and it is gradually weakening.

  Regarding the floods in the central region, according to preliminary statistics from the Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention and reports from Vietnam News Agency correspondents across the country, as of 8:30 AM on November 29, the floods had caused 963 houses to collapse (an increase of 537 from the morning of November 28), and damaged 3,390 houses (an increase of 1,311). The floods also resulted in the death or loss of 944,975 head of livestock and poultry, with Dak Lak province suffering the most severe damage, affecting 663,500 head.

  Regarding transportation, there are still 12 road sections disrupted (a decrease of 3 from November 28). The disruptions are concentrated on National Highway 27C (9 sections in Khanh Hoa province) and National Highway 20 (3 sections in Lam Dong province).

  The casualty figures for the floods in the provinces and cities of the Central and Southern Regions and the Central Highlands remain unchanged from the morning of November 28. Specifically, 108 people have died or are missing, including 98 dead and 10 missing.

  On November 29, the Prime Minister personally inspected the flood damage recovery efforts in Dak Lak province and held a combined online and offline meeting with representatives from Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong provinces to discuss post-disaster recovery work.

  Currently, local authorities are continuing to assess and tally the damage; carrying out environmental cleanup and restoration work; and organizing disaster recovery efforts. (End)
