Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to the Tianjin Municipal Transportation Commission, with the completion of the final square meter of asphalt paving on Liangtai Road in Jinghai District, Tianjin's 2025 Rural Road Improvement Project has been fully completed.
As a vital inter-provincial road connecting Tianjin and Langfang, Hebei Province, Liangtai Road in Jinghai District had long been hampered by potholes and cracks, hindering regional economic exchange and the travel of surrounding residents. Now, the road has been completely transformed – a smooth and wide new surface allows for smooth and stable traffic. The completion of the Liangtai Road upgrade also marks the completion of this project, covering 10 rural districts, 62 townships, and 208 villages, benefiting approximately 850,000 people, more than a month ahead of schedule, injecting transportation momentum into rural revitalization.
It is understood that the 2025 Rural Road Improvement Project prioritized the travel needs of surrounding villagers and the development of local industries from the outset, initiating renovation projects tailored to local conditions: The Jizhou District flood damage repair emergency project was incorporated into the project, addressing the urgent needs of the people, prioritizing implementation, and accelerating project progress, with completion and opening to traffic by the end of June, resolving this major and urgent issue affecting the people; the project also included rural roads prone to flooding, solving the flooding problems of two railway tunnels in Jinghai District, Yangjiayuan and Zhangguantun, effectively eliminating safety hazards for residents; the renovation of the Wangqingtuo service area on the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway marked the first time a rural road connecting to the service area was constructed, making it more convenient for surrounding villagers to access the expressway and enjoy the service area's amenities; and green and environmentally friendly new materials and recycling technologies were applied in the renovation of some rural roads in Jinghai and Jinnan Districts, adding a "technological element" to rural road construction.
To date, this year's public welfare projects—upgrading and renovating 310 kilometers of rural roads, 6 convenient bridges, and 2 safe underpasses—have all been completed and put into use, bringing numerous conveniences to the people.
It is understood that rural roads, as the most extensive, largest-serving, and most public-service-oriented transportation infrastructure, are the primary mode of transportation in rural areas, playing a vital role in improving people's well-being, enhancing the living environment, and promoting agricultural and rural modernization. Next, Tianjin's transportation department will actively participate in the new round of rural road improvement initiatives, continuously promoting the high-quality development of "four-good rural roads," and providing solid service guarantees for advancing comprehensive rural revitalization and accelerating agricultural and rural modernization.
