Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region continues to strengthen policy support for cross-regional elderly care and promote resource sharing in elderly care projects. A report released by the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau on the 18th shows that as of the end of September this year, more than 10,000 elderly people with Beijing resided in elderly care institutions in Hebei Province, and more than 200 elderly people with Beijing resided in elderly care institutions in Tianjin.
The coordinated development of elderly care services in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region helps optimize the distribution of elderly care resources and is an important practice of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy in the field of people's livelihood. On the 18th, the 2025 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Elderly Care Service Coordinated Development Project Promotion Conference was held in Beijing. The keynote report released at the conference pointed out that in recent years, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has focused on breaking down regional barriers to elderly care services. Beijing, following the principle of "policies following the elderly," has implemented operating subsidy policies for elderly care institutions in Tianjin and Hebei that receive elderly people with Beijing residency; Hebei Province has issued relevant measures to attract elderly people from Beijing and Tianjin to retire in Hebei.
The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is promoting integrated medical and elderly care to facilitate cross-regional medical treatment for the elderly. A Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated medical and elderly care alliance has been established, covering 542 institutions across the three regions. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated medical and elderly care remote collaboration platform has been expanded to include 56 integrated medical and elderly care institutions in Hebei Province, leveraging the "Internet + healthcare" model to provide collaborative services such as personnel training, care guidance, and remote consultations.
The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has also established a mechanism for promoting elderly care service projects. For three consecutive years, a Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei elderly care service collaborative project promotion conference has been held to strengthen the connection of elderly care resources. According to incomplete statistics, more than 60 cooperation agreements in the field of elderly care services have been signed between relevant government departments, social organizations, and enterprises in Beijing and Hebei Province, with a total investment of over 700 million yuan (RMB), of which over 660 million yuan has been secured.
Next, the civil affairs department will promote the extension of Beijing's elderly care projects to surrounding areas. At the same time, it will strengthen inter-departmental collaboration to address issues such as the limited application scenarios for mutual recognition of elderly care institution rating results.
