Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) reports that with the 15th National Games and the Paralympic Games approaching, China Mobile Guangdong Company (Guangdong Mobile) reported on the 28th that the company has optimized 5G networks at 126 event venues in Guangdong Province, adding 634 5G base stations and establishing four cross-border dedicated lines between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. These networks provide network support for the timing and scoring systems, venue results systems, competition video systems, and arbitration video systems.

As the official communications service partner of the 15th National Games and the Paralympic Games, Guangdong Mobile leverages cutting-edge technologies such as 5G-Advanced (5G-Advanced), all-optical networks, digital twins, and the Metaverse, integrating key capabilities such as command video conferencing systems and trunking communication systems to build an intelligent, digital support system covering the entire event chain.

According to reports, Guangdong Mobile has successfully established a command video conferencing system covering Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, upgrading the traditional offline command center to a cloud-based collaborative platform. The company is also overseeing the construction of a trunking communication system covering Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Currently, 864 sets of trunked intercom systems have been deployed across Guangdong Province, covering key event areas in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and the surrounding Greater Bay Area, ensuring seamless interconnection and scheduling during events. For cross-border events, Guangdong Mobile has pioneered a pilot program using roaming trunked communication technology across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, enabling staff to communicate in real time across the three locations using a single terminal.

It is worth noting that the 15th National Games "China Mobile Cup" Cycling (Road) Race will be held from November 7th to 9th. This is the only event of the Games to integrate Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and the first national sports event to span these three regions. During the Games, Guangdong Mobile will provide over 600 cross-border roaming IoT cards and the corresponding network support necessary for athletes' seamless customs clearance, assisting event organizers in implementing a new model of "pre-inspection, closed operation, and seamless customs clearance."

"We established a dedicated team ahead of time to develop a detailed communications support plan, striving to ensure communication network security, network infrastructure security, key information system security support, and network security emergency drills," said a Guangdong Mobile support representative. The company is currently conducting ongoing route-wide testing and optimization, and is collaborating with Macau's CTM and Hong Kong's CMHK to optimize cross-border roaming signals. (End)
