A fire broke out in an entertainment district in Malaysia, leading to the evacuation of 5,000 people.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the afternoon of June 14th, a fire broke out at the SkyAvenue shopping mall in Resorts World Genting, Malaysia.

  The fire caused a plume of black smoke to rise high, forcing many people to evacuate.

  According to a statement from Resorts World Genting, the fire occurred at approximately 4:30 PM. Authorities quickly evacuated staff and tourists from dangerous areas.

  Other areas of the resort, except for SkyAvenue, were unaffected. Malaysian media outlet Kosmo reported that more than 5,000 people had been evacuated.

  Pahang Fire and Rescue Department Chief Wan Mohamad Zaidi Wan Isa stated that the fire started on the second floor and was brought under control by 6:30 PM. There were no casualties.

  Genting Highlands, located in Pahang, Malaysia, is a popular tourist destination and entertainment center, including indoor and outdoor theme parks, casinos, and shopping malls.
