Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The two-day Selangor New Village Festival in Malaysia concluded on the afternoon of the 25th in Pandamaran Chinese New Village, Klang, Selangor. Chinese New Villages, fishing villages, and traditional villages throughout Selangor showcased their unique charm through floats, local specialties, and cultural and creative products.

Malaysian Chinese New Villages emerged gradually from the late 1940s to the early 1950s under specific historical conditions. Currently, there are over 600 Chinese New Villages in Malaysia, and more than 80% of the current Malaysian Chinese population comes from these villages.

At the Pandamaran Chinese Primary School B, where the event was held, reporters observed stalls from various Chinese New Villages showcasing their unique characteristics. Some villages displayed themed postcards, introducing their iconic landmarks to a wider audience; others displayed eye-catching dragon fruit dolls, and the fresh vegetables, dragon fruit, and other local specialties attracted many buyers.
