Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing, Malaysian Minister for Federal Territories Affairs Yang Qiaoshuang, attended the event and delivered speeches. Kuala Lumpur Mayor Shahiruddin Fallon, head of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism delegation Lu Bin, and nearly a thousand Malaysians attended the event.
In his speech, Ouyang Yujing pointed out that in recent years, exchanges and cooperation between China and Malaysia in various fields have continued to deepen, with frequent highlights in cultural exchanges, injecting strong momentum into the development of bilateral relations. He emphasized that 2026 is Visit Malaysia Year, and cultural and tourism cooperation between China and Malaysia is ushering in an important period of opportunity. He looked forward to both sides strengthening policy communication, enriching the content of exchanges, and using cultural and tourism integration to help build a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
Yang Qiaoshuang warmly welcomed the Beijing cultural and tourism delegation to Malaysia and for bringing a wonderful performance. She stated that the cultural performance added a festive atmosphere to the Lunar New Year of the Horse, and expressed her hope that Malaysia and China would further strengthen exchanges and visits, enhance mutual understanding and friendship, and promote deeper and more practical cooperation in various fields.
