Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Malaysian police announced on the 23rd that the country's police headquarters and Perak state police recently raided a drug manufacturing den in Ipoh, Perak, seizing methamphetamine and ecstasy worth over US$9.1 million. The drug trafficking syndicate even concealed ecstasy in cement during transport, marking the first time Malaysian police have discovered such a method of drug concealment.

According to police, they seized over 843 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine, along with a large quantity of drug-making materials and drug processing equipment.

During a search of the drug manufacturing den's parking lot, police discovered over 600 kilograms of items processed into cement blocks, which tested positive for ecstasy. Police indicated that the drug trafficking syndicate attempted to evade detection using this method.

During the search, police arrested a Malaysian man and woman. Police believe the arrested individuals are likely local employees of the drug trafficking syndicate.

Malaysian police stated that the ringleader of the drug trafficking syndicate is a foreign man who is currently being pursued. This drug trafficking syndicate attempted to establish drug processing and distribution operations in Malaysia, and may have already established and operated drug manufacturing sites in multiple locations across the country.
