Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Enzo Sim Hong Jun, a researcher at the Penang Institute in Malaysia, highly praised Vietnam's reform policies implemented over the past year in an interview with a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Kuala Lumpur.
Enzo stated that Vietnam not only maintained and expanded its anti-corruption efforts but also actively promoted multilateral diplomacy, signing important trade agreements including reducing tariffs on exports to the United States. Simultaneously, it strengthened cooperation with regional partners to attract investment and reduce economic dependence. Vietnam's "Doi Moi 2.0" policy, focusing on institutional reform, has created a more favorable environment for foreign investment.
Several laws have been amended, including the Nationality Law, which makes it easier for foreigners married to Vietnamese citizens to apply for citizenship, and a five-year visa-free policy for international talent, artists, and athletes. The National Assembly also passed measures to streamline government agencies and adjust administrative divisions to improve administrative efficiency and transparency.
Enzo believes these measures will help Vietnam consolidate its international standing, attract high-quality resources, and move closer to its goal of becoming a regional high-tech manufacturing center. (End)
