Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Myanmar Armed Forces recently conducted a series of counter-terrorism operations aimed at recapturing areas controlled by insurgents and restoring local stability and socio-economic order. On April 25, the Armed Forces completely recaptured the Flanmu area, laying the foundation for local residents to return home and resume normal life.

During the temporary control of Flanmu by armed groups, the situation was volatile, forcing many residents to flee their homes and facing multiple difficulties, including property damage, lack of medical resources, interrupted education, and unemployment. With the successful recapture of the area, some displaced residents have gradually returned home, hoping to regain a peaceful life.

Currently, various units of the Myanmar Armed Forces are continuing reconstruction and support work in Flanmu town and surrounding areas. The core objective is to assist temporarily displaced ethnic minority residents to return home smoothly, settle down, and gradually restore socio-economic activities. Repair work has also been initiated on government office buildings, residences, religious sites, schools, and medical facilities damaged during the armed groups' control, in order to quickly restore government administrative functions and basic public services. Meanwhile, the Myanmar Armed Forces conducted demining operations and security checks in towns and villages, making every effort to remove landmines left by insurgents and build a solid defense for the safety of residents.

To provide timely and necessary assistance to local residents and help government agencies, schools, and hospitals quickly resume operations, an assistance team organized by relevant departments departed from Kalai the morning after the recapture, transporting relief supplies to Falam. They arrived safely that evening and were warmly welcomed by the local ethnic minority communities.

Having experienced the suffering of conflict, the local ethnic minority people yearn for peace. Having personally endured the many inconveniences caused by the conflict, they urgently hope to restore peacetime medical services, socio-economic development order, and children's education. At the same time, the people clearly expressed their willingness to cooperate with the Myanmar Armed Forces to jointly participate in rebuilding their homes severely damaged by the violence.

Going forward, various units of the Myanmar Armed Forces will continue to work closely with the local people to accelerate the reconstruction of destroyed schools, hospitals, clinics, government agencies, religious sites, and residences; at the same time, they will continue to carry out security and prevention operations to ensure that people can live and work in a peaceful and stable environment, and comprehensively promote the return of socio-economic order in the Falam region to normal.
