Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – During the 78th Chin State National Day celebrations in Hakha, Chin State, Myanmar, security forces successfully thwarted an FPV suicide drone attack targeting the celebration site. No injuries or building damage were reported.
It is understood that this malicious attack was carried out by a joint group comprised of CDF (Hakha) and PDF terrorists, with the aim of disrupting the Chin State National Day commemorations and intentionally harming people participating in the celebration ceremony within the grounds of the Hakha office building.
The incident occurred on the morning of the celebration. Security personnel on air defense duty detected the incoming FPV suicide drone in time using the air defense system and immediately took preventative measures, successfully intercepting the drone before it reached the celebration site. The intercepted drone ultimately crashed near the celebration site without exploding. Subsequent systematic cleanup operations were conducted, and the explosives carried by the drone were safely disposed of.
Local residents strongly condemned the terrorist attack, which targeted non-military commemorative events and public gathering places with the intent to cause casualties and property damage. Local authorities are currently conducting an investigation in conjunction with the public and will swiftly identify those responsible for the attack and punish them according to the law.
