Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to official Myanmar sources, the government has launched a systematic cleanup operation targeting Shwe Kokko and KK Park, two areas known for their concentration of online fraud and gambling crimes. Illegal buildings have been completely demolished, and equipment used in these activities has been destroyed. A joint task force conducted a thorough investigation, centrally destroying seized equipment related to fraud and gambling, and precisely demolishing illegal buildings.
Recently, authorities completed the demolition of the remaining two illegal buildings in Zone 2 of Myawaddy-Mettawala (Kota Kinabalu Park). It is understood that there were originally 62 illegal buildings in the area; these two four-story buildings were the last two structures involved in criminal activity, marking the elimination of all illegal buildings related to fraud and gambling in the area.
As of now, all illegal buildings related to fraud and gambling in KK Park have been completely demolished. Specific data shows that 148 buildings were demolished in Zone 1, 62 in Zone 2, and 425 in Zone 3, totaling 635 illegal buildings demolished. The demolition work employed a combination of controlled blasting and heavy machinery to ensure a thorough and safe cleanup. To further consolidate the demolition results and ensure that no hidden dangers remain in the mechanically demolished buildings, relevant departments have been using incinerators for follow-up cleanup work since December 14th. In Zone 3 of KK Park, five more two-story illegal buildings were recently demolished, bringing the total number of completely demolished buildings in the area to 121. Officials stated that the remaining illegal buildings will continue to be demolished using the same method.
The Myanmar government has clearly stated that combating online fraud and gambling is a core national responsibility and reiterated its determination to resolutely prevent the breeding and spread of such crimes in any region of the country. In the future, the authorities will continue to coordinate with domestic law enforcement agencies and strengthen cooperation with neighboring governments to build a cross-border joint force to completely eradicate online fraud and gambling crimes.
