Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Myanmar government deployed a joint task force to conduct raids in Shwe Kokko and KK Park (Myawady-Maethawtalay area), focusing on clearing out illegal buildings used for telecom fraud and online gambling. The task force, composed of security forces, administrative agencies, and local authorities, systematically demolished illegal buildings and seized items used in telecom fraud and online gambling activities.

According to reports, the task force demolished 11 more illegal buildings involved in fraud and gambling in KK Park yesterday, including one four-story building and ten two-story buildings. To date, a total of 549 illegal buildings have been demolished in the KK Park area, bringing the total number of illegal buildings in the area to 635.

To advance the crackdown on illegal buildings in KK Park, law enforcement agencies have been using machinery and explosive devices for demolition since December 14th. The demolition operation continues, and as of yesterday, a total of 86 buildings have been completely destroyed, including five two-story buildings demolished that day; another five two-story buildings were razed to the ground today. To prevent the building materials from being reused in local telecom fraud and online gambling activities, law enforcement agencies have systematically incinerated the seized materials.

The Myanmar government emphasizes that eradicating telecom fraud and online gambling crimes is a national responsibility. To ensure the complete elimination of such illegal activities within Myanmar, the government will continue to integrate domestic resources and cooperate more closely with neighboring governments.
