
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Myanmar government is continuing joint operations in Shwe Kokko and KK Park (Myawaddy-Maitthawale area) to combat telecom fraud and online gambling. Joint teams composed of security personnel and administrative departments are advancing the crackdown through measures such as area-wide investigations, demolition of illegal buildings, and legal action.
Kota Kinabalu Park Area: Focusing on Illegal Building Demolition to Cut Off Criminal Breeding Grounds
To completely eradicate the breeding ground for crime, the joint team is conducting a concentrated demolition of buildings used for telecom fraud and online gambling in the Kota Kinabalu Park area. To date, 263 of the 635 illegal buildings in the area have been demolished; significant progress has been made in Zone 3, with 115 of the 425 buildings demolished, including 7 yesterday alone.
Shwe Kokko Area: Investigation and Seizure in Parallel, Confiscating Suspected Assets
Since November 18th, law enforcement agencies have simultaneously launched a special operation in the Shwe Kokko area. The operation involved inspecting 231 buildings (including 14 one-story buildings, 42 two-story buildings, 103 three-story buildings, 63 four-story buildings, 8 five-story buildings, and 1 seven-story building). While no suspects were apprehended on-site, mobile phones and other related items were seized.
Simultaneously, law enforcement identified 109 illegal buildings in the area used for telecom fraud. Seizure and confiscation procedures were initiated yesterday, and 64 buildings have already been disposed of.
Seized equipment was centrally destroyed, and illegal personnel were properly disposed of.
To date, the series of operations has achieved preliminary results: 2,042 illegal immigrants have been detained, and 3,310 computers, 21,870 mobile phones, 102 Starlink satellite receivers, and 22 routers involved in the case have been seized. The equipment has been systematically destroyed. The arrested foreign nationals are currently detained at the Long Tin Court in Rui Khok Myo village, Phu Phu village, Myawaddy township.

Data shows that from January 30 to November 28, 2025, Myanmar detained 12,882 foreign citizens who illegally entered the country. Of these, 10,029 have been screened and repatriated to their home countries via Thailand; the remaining 2,853 are being properly resettled and will be transferred to their countries of origin after completing the necessary procedures.
The Myanmar government emphasizes that eradicating online fraud and gambling is a national responsibility. To prevent such crimes from flourishing within its borders, it will continue to coordinate domestic efforts and deepen cooperation with neighboring governments to normalize the crackdown.
