Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On April 2nd, at noon, the Vietnam People's Army rescue team, while conducting rescue operations at Ottara Thiri Hospital in Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar, learned that a person buried under the earthquake rubble still showed signs of life.

Upon receiving the information, the Vietnam rescue team immediately dispatched an engineering team to cooperate with Turkish and Myanmar rescue forces in the rescue operation. Preliminary confirmation indicates the trapped person is a young man of approximately 26-27 years old, trapped at the Aye Chan Thar Hotel in Naypyidaw, about 20 kilometers from the hospital where the Vietnam rescue team was located.

When the rescue team arrived at the scene, the trapped person was still able to speak and stated that he was in good condition but lacked food and drinking water. Currently, the rescue team is taking measures to rescue the trapped person as soon as possible.

Five days after the earthquake, tens of thousands of residents in Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar, remain displaced, lacking electricity, drinking water, and basic necessities.

The Vietnam People's Army rescue teams swiftly mobilized, concentrating their elite forces on search and rescue operations while simultaneously organizing multiple rescue groups to reach temporary shelters, assisting with the resettlement of disaster victims and providing medical treatment, including professional medical care and urgently needed medicines for the earthquake injured.

Ms. Daw Maw Maw, a resident of Myanmar, stated, "We just experienced an earthquake disaster, but in the past few days, we have deeply felt the care and warm assistance from the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security's rescue teams. They brought us medicine and food."

Despite facing numerous difficulties, the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security's rescue teams were still willing to share essential supplies such as compressed rations and clean drinking water with the disaster victims. This not only demonstrates the sincere feelings of the Vietnamese rescue teams but also helps the people of Myanmar regain confidence and overcome difficulties after the disaster. (End)
