Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) reported on February 23 that in Shwe Kokko, Myawaddy, Myanmar, across the border from Mae Sot District, Tak Province, Thailand, numerous high-rise buildings belonging to Chinese shady businesses are still under construction. From the Thai side, various types of equipment are clearly visible in operation, and the roar of generators can even be heard at close range.
Following the crackdown on telecom fraud gangs in Shwe Kokko by Soe Kyaw Thu, head of the Myawaddy Karen Border Guard Force (BGF), the KK Industrial Park in the area is their next target. Soe Kyaw Thu has declared his intention to completely eradicate telecom fraud gangs in the region, and the world is watching to see if this "declaration" will be truly implemented and whether his crackdown will succeed.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere around the Thai-Myanmar Second Friendship Bridge in Mae Sot District appears relatively quiet. According to an agreement reached between China, Thailand, and Myanmar, a three-day centralized repatriation operation of Chinese victims of telecom fraud concluded today. During this period, 621 victims were transferred from Myawaddy, Myanmar to Mae Sot International Airport in Thailand, where they boarded 16 flights arranged by China to return home.

It is understood that the next phase of the centralized repatriation operation will resume in approximately six days. As of now, more than 2,000 foreign victims of telecom fraud remain in areas controlled by the Myanmar National Democratic Development Corps (BGF), and another 405 are in areas controlled by the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA).
