Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) reports that Myanmar Tourism Bank (MTB) will offer a travel loan program, allowing tourists to pay for domestic and international travel expenses, including pilgrimage trips, in installments.

During the Thingyan Water Festival, some tourists traveling abroad, arranged by tour companies, visited Vietnam and Thailand, paying for their trips in installments under the travel loan program. During this rainy season, a private tour company is offering installment tours to Kalau and Bagan in Shan State.

Under the travel loan program, if tourists choose to travel through a local tour company partnered with Myanmar Tourism Bank, the bank will lend them money for their trips through that company.

Currently, Myanmar Tourism Bank not only provides travel loans guaranteed by its private group management system but also collaborates with tour companies on group travel loans for various travel programs.

Myanmar Tourism Bank has its headquarters and seven branches in Sulay, Yangon; four branches in Mandalay; and one branch each in Naypyidaw, Muse, Taunggyi, Monywa, and Myawaddy, bringing the total number of branches to 17. Myanmar Tourism Bank will fully implement a tourism loan program, allowing tourists to travel domestically and internationally on installment plans.
