Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – To recognize exemplary companies that adhere to labor laws and actively build harmonious labor relations, the Royal Government of Cambodia recently launched its inaugural "May Day Peaceful Enterprise" selection event. This award, themed "One Enterprise, One Peaceful Community," will officially commence during the 139th International Workers' Day this year.
According to a decree signed by Prime Minister Hun Manet on April 23, companies wishing to participate must demonstrate excellence in the following areas to be eligible for the award: legally guaranteeing employees' working conditions, regulating the employment of young and disabled employees, maintaining good professional relations, fully implementing occupational health and safety standards, improving the social security system, actively implementing labor productivity enhancement plans, and earnestly fulfilling corporate social responsibility.

Hun Manet emphasized that the establishment of this award is highly consistent with this year's International Workers' Day theme, "Decent Work and Sustainable Resilient Growth," fully demonstrating the Royal Government's firm commitment to promoting harmonious labor relations. Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all sectors for their active participation in the "Enterprise Peace Community" initiative and extended his sincere congratulations to the first batch of shortlisted companies.

This important initiative is a key step taken by the Royal Government of Cambodia to achieve its national development strategy. By continuously improving the working environment, strengthening the social security system, and perfecting the labor dispute resolution mechanism, the government will lay a solid foundation for Cambodia to successfully enter the ranks of middle-to-high-income countries by 2030 and create favorable conditions for achieving the goal of becoming a high-income country by 2050.
