Vietnam's cruise tourism industry is showing a positive recovery trend.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Saigontourist Vietnam hosted the 20th Annual Meeting of the Asian Cruise Travel Network (ACSN) in Ho Chi Minh City on the 11th. Representatives from 13 countries and regions, including the Maldives, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Thailand, Myanmar, China, and Vietnam, attended the meeting. This is the second time the event has been held in Vietnam.

  The meeting focused on discussing tourism cooperation programs, updating cruise tourism trends, and promoting the destination. Saigontourist Vietnam was the sole representative from Vietnam and also a sponsor of the meeting, arranging sightseeing tours in Ho Chi Minh City for attendees. This meeting is part of the company's international marketing strategy aimed at attracting cruise tourists.

  Nguyen Thanh Thuy, General Manager of Saigontourist Vietnam, stated that the Vietnamese cruise market is showing positive signs of recovery. Actively promoting Vietnam through international events and hosting meetings like ACSN will help integrate Vietnam into cruise companies' long-term route planning up to 2030.

  From August 2025 to April 2026, Saigon Tourism Company is expected to receive 151 international river cruise ships, carrying over 6,000 tourists, mainly from Europe, the United States, and Australia. The itineraries, lasting 4 to 9 days, depart from Ho Chi Minh City and travel down the Mekong River, passing through My Thu, Khai Phi, Vinh Long, Sa Lê, and Chu Tho, offering tourists a unique cultural experience of southwestern Vietnam.
