Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The 2025 Cambodia "China Film Week" recently opened at the Four Arms Bay Theatre in Phnom Penh. This event was co-hosted by the China National Film Administration and the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, and organized by the China Film Archive and the Cambodia Asian Film Festival Organizing Committee, among others. China UnionPay, as a sponsoring brand of the China Film Week, is deeply involved in the international exchange of Chinese film culture, promoting diversified cooperation through practical actions.
At this event, the organizers carefully selected six highly representative and outstanding Chinese films, covering various genres. *Fengshen Part 1: Chaoge Fengyun* and *Fengshen Part 2: War of Xiqi* use grand narratives and stunning special effects to lead audiences into a fantastical world of Eastern mythology; *Lion Boys 2* continues the spirit of youth, showcasing the perseverance of young people pursuing their dreams; the dance-poem film *Only Green* draws inspiration from famous paintings, fully displaying the charm of Eastern art; *Detective Chinatown 1900* blends suspense and comedy, embarking on a mind-bending and hilarious adventure; and *Little Me* focuses on ordinary daily life, conveying warmth and love.

On the opening day, the China UnionPay "Borderless Light and Shadow, Seamless UnionPay Travel" event was held simultaneously at the Four Arms Bay Theater in Phnom Penh. China UnionPay's Global Payment Ambassador, "Yin Yuanyuan," interacted closely with visitors, and the "Virtual Tour of China" themed merchandise display area showcased the charm of Chinese culture, attracting many tourists who exclaimed, "I really want to go to China!"
While supporting film and cultural exchange, China UnionPay is also vigorously promoting the implementation of its payment business in Cambodia. On March 10th, Bakong, a Cambodian payment system, integrated its wallet product with UnionPay mobile payment services. Since then, Bakong wallet users can use it in Cambodia by scanning QR codes and can also directly scan QR codes to pay at UnionPay merchants in China and over 10 million merchants in 46 countries and regions overseas through UnionPay's global QR code acceptance network, greatly improving the cross-border mobile payment experience for local residents.

The friendly relations between Cambodia and China have a long history and have deepened over time. As a globally deployed international card organization, China UnionPay, from offline activities at the film week to innovative cooperation in the payment industry, adds a vivid footnote to the chapter of friendly exchanges between the two countries. In future exchanges and mutual learning, China UnionPay will continue to shoulder its responsibilities of the times and help to jointly draw a more brilliant blueprint for friendship.
