
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of October 24th, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) held the launching ceremony for the 7th "Golden Moment" News Photography Competition at the National Press Center. The competition aims to recognize and commend outstanding photographic works and photographers who capture memorable and emotionally resonant moments through their lenses.
In his address at the launching ceremony, Vu Viet Trang, Director General of VNA, stated that VNA, as a provider of photographic information for both domestic and international news systems, enjoys a high reputation in the Vietnamese media. This year's competition, in partnership with Vietnam Petroleum Group, aims to recognize outstanding works and photographers who record vivid stories, emotions, and national prosperity through their lenses.
VNA hopes that the "Golden Moment" photography competition will become a vibrant platform attracting more journalists and photographers, thereby promoting the development of news photography and enhancing the effectiveness of information dissemination in the new era.
According to the competition rules, entries for the 7th "Golden Moment" competition will cover all aspects of Vietnamese society, including politics, diplomacy, economy, culture, healthcare, education, sports, science and technology, and the environment. Entries must present a unique perspective and demonstrate a sense of social responsibility and humanistic concern. The competition is open to all nationalities and participants can be professional or amateur photographers. Photos must be taken between August 15, 2023, and November 30, 2024.
Entries can be single photographs or photo series (news photography/combined photos).
Photos can be in color or black and white.
The competition will award prizes in two categories: single photographs and photo series. Each category will have the following prizes: First Prize (1 winner, VND 20 million), Second Prize (2 winners, VND 15 million), Third Prize (3 winners, VND 10 million), and Consolation Prize (5 winners, VND 5 million).
The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2024. Entrants can submit their entries online via computer or mobile phone through the competition's official website (https://khoanhkhacvang.vn/). The awards ceremony is expected to be held in December 2024. (End)
