Cambodia-China University of Applied Sciences celebrates the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of September 30th, the Cambodia-China University of Applied Sciences held a National Day event in Phnom Penh themed "Working Together to Create a Glorious Future," to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

  In his address, Veng Rongni, Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Education, pointed out that strengthening cooperation and exchanges in education, sports, and youth is an essential requirement for the continuation of friendship between the two countries and the building of a community with a shared future. He noted that the Cambodia-China University of Applied Sciences uses technical skills as a link, committed to cultivating high-quality international technical talents, and providing sustainable impetus for the development of Cambodia-China cooperation. He hoped that the university would continue to play its role as a bridge and platform for people-to-people exchanges between Cambodia and China, writing a new chapter in promoting Cambodia-China cultural exchanges and giving new meaning to the "ironclad" friendship between the two countries.

  In his address, Zhao Haiyan, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, reviewed the achievements of China and Cambodia in cultural exchanges and educational cooperation. He stated that educational exchange and cooperation is not only an important component of China-Cambodia cultural exchanges but also a priority direction for strengthening strategic alignment between the two sides, facing significant opportunities for development. Minister-Counselor Zhao Haiyan expressed her hope that the Cambodia-China University of Applied Sciences would seize this opportunity to cultivate more application-oriented talents and contribute to deepening Sino-Cambodian educational cooperation and cultural exchanges.

  Xie Yonghua, Chairman of the Chinese Board of Directors of the Cambodia-China University of Applied Sciences, expressed his gratitude to the Chinese and foreign guests who have long cared for and supported the university's development. He pointed out that as the first overseas applied technology university in China's vocational education system, the Cambodia-China University of Applied Sciences' dual-degree undergraduate program reflects the latest achievements in educational cooperation between the two countries and serves as a powerful testament to people-to-people exchanges between China and Cambodia. He also mentioned that Nanjing University of Technology, as China's first public undergraduate vocational university, boasts strong educational strength, and its programs are all advantageous. He expressed his gratitude for the support from Chinese-funded enterprises and local Cambodian businesses.

  Zheng Mianfa, Executive Vice President of the Federation of Cambodian Chinese Associations, extended his deepest respect and sincere blessings to his ancestral homeland, emphasizing that the overseas Chinese in Cambodia have always upheld the fine traditions of diligence, integrity, patriotism, and love for their hometown, playing a bridging role in Sino-Cambodian friendship. He stated that the Federation of Cambodian Chinese Associations will work closely with Nanjing Vocational University of Technology in the future, adhering to the principle of "mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, common development," to promote the construction of the Cambodian Chinese University of Applied Sciences and contribute wisdom and strength to elevating the friendly educational relations between China and Cambodia to a new level.

  During the event, teachers and students from the Cambodian Chinese University of Applied Sciences performed calligraphy, Tai Chi, and folk dances, showcasing the profound heritage and artistic charm of Chinese culture, winning enthusiastic applause from the audience. In the "I Offer My Gift to the Motherland" segment, guests jointly wished the People's Republic of China a happy birthday, creating a rousing atmosphere and singing "I Love You, China," raising the spirits of the audience.

  Finally, a diverse National Day garden party attracted a large number of participants. Traditional handicraft activities such as intangible cultural heritage rubbing, movable type printing of Tang poems, intangible cultural heritage lacquer fan making, National Day paper cutting, and dumpling making allowed each participant to experience the profound charm of traditional Chinese culture and the unique flavor of traditional Chinese art through hands-on practice.

  Sun Yanfei, Vice President of Nanjing Vocational University of Technology, representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises and teachers and students from Chinese schools attended the event to jointly celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
