
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – At the invitation of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prak Sokhonn, Secretary General Louise Muhyiddin Vabok of the Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) will pay an official working visit to Cambodia from March 1st to 4th.
During this visit, Secretary General Muhyiddin Vabok will participate in several high-level diplomatic events, fully demonstrating the high importance both sides attach to this interaction. The itinerary includes separate meetings with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet, as well as a meeting with First Vice President of the National Assembly Kang Ye; she will also hold talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prak Sokhonn to exchange in-depth views on deepening the partnership between Cambodia and the OIF, expanding practical cooperation in various fields, and international and regional issues of common concern.
One of the core topics of this visit is advancing preparations for the 20th OIF Summit in 2026. The summit is scheduled to be held in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, from November 15 to 16, 2026. Cambodia will hold detailed discussions with Secretary-General Muhyiddin Vabb regarding key matters such as the summit's organizational structure, agenda, and expected outcomes. This summit is not only a significant milestone in Cambodian diplomatic history but also an important opportunity for the Francophonie to demonstrate its influence and strengthen solidarity and mutual assistance in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized in its communiqué that Secretary-General Muhyiddin Vabb's visit fully demonstrates the increasingly close cooperative relationship between Cambodia and the OIF. Both sides are committed to deepening cooperation within a multilateral framework and jointly promoting the realization of the shared vision of the Asia-Pacific region and the global Francophonie in areas such as peace, security, sustainable development, and cultural diversity.
