Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the evening of December 24th, Cambodian Minister of Information Nyongphatak strongly condemned the Thai military's continued incursions into Cambodian territory and attacks on civilians on social media.

According to the latest statistics, as of the evening of the 24th, the Thai military's armed aggression had resulted in the deaths of 30 Cambodian civilians and injuries to 87 others. Minister Nyongphatak pointed out that although the two sides were in the diplomatic consultation stage, Thailand had not only failed to cease its military operations but had further expanded the scope of its bombings and attacks, causing the number of civilian casualties to continue to rise.

Currently, Cambodia and Thailand are conducting emergency communication through the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) mechanism. The relevant schedule is as follows: a preparatory meeting of the secretariat will be held from December 24th to 26th, focusing on document exchange and preliminary consultations; the third special meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee is scheduled for December 27th.

Cambodian officials stated that Thailand's continued bombing activities seriously violated the original intention of diplomatic consultations while the secretariats of both sides were actively preparing for the special meeting. Minister Nyongphat emphasized that Thailand's current military movements indicate it has not yet demonstrated a clear willingness to reach a ceasefire.

Cambodia deeply regrets this and urges Thailand to demonstrate sincerity, immediately cease all military operations that infringe upon Cambodian sovereignty and harm civilians, and create the necessary peaceful atmosphere for the upcoming special meeting.
