On February 28, under the strict escort of Immigration Department officers, 335 Chinese nationals suspected of telecommunications and online fraud were lawfully repatriated from Druk Chon International Airport in Cambodia.
The Cambodian government reiterated that this large-scale repatriation operation fully demonstrates Cambodia's firm determination to strictly enforce laws and regulations and resolutely combat cross-border telecommunications and online fraud. Cambodia will continue to eradicate this criminal "cancer" that threatens social order and effectively protect the personal safety and property rights of its citizens both at home and abroad. Cambodia will not tolerate or condone the masterminds behind cross-border fraud; at the same time, it will actively rescue victims who have been lured into participating in fraudulent activities, protect their legitimate rights in accordance with the law, and assist them in returning home safely.
