  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Cambodian Ministry of the Interior issued an official press release on the evening of December 19th, reporting on the current humanitarian crisis caused by the recent escalation of the border situation. The release indicated that the number of Cambodian refugees has surged to over 510,000 due to the Thai military operation.

  According to data released by the Ministry of the Interior, as of the evening of December 19th, the total number of civilians forced to evacuate due to refuge has reached 510,901. This includes 266,472 women and 162,256 children.

  The report also stated that the expansionary military operation launched by the Thai army has severely impacted Cambodian civilian areas. According to the latest statistics, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of 18 Cambodian civilians and injuries to 79 others.
