Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The three-day “Cambodia Tourism Products and Services Exhibition” recently concluded successfully at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center in Phnom Penh. The exhibition (February 13-15) brought together 117 exhibitors, covering government agencies, the private sector, tourism operators, and industry chain partners. It comprehensively showcased the diverse charm of Cambodia's tourism industry and demonstrated Cambodia's strategic goal of building a high-quality, standardized, and sustainable tourism ecosystem.

Diverse Displays Break Boundaries, Moving Beyond the Single “Historical Tourism” Label

The exhibition featured diverse and distinctive booths showcasing a wide range of products, including tour packages, traditional Khmer handicrafts, and local agricultural products. These booths vividly presented the transformation achievements of Cambodia's tourism industry – moving beyond the traditional single perception of “historical tourism” and steadily advancing towards a “green gold” economic model that integrates cultural experiences, green ecology, and local consumption. Exhibitors used physical displays and scene simulations to allow visitors to intuitively experience the upgrade of Cambodian tourism from “attraction check-ins” to “in-depth experiences.” Minister Personally Endorses Exhibition, Focusing on Core Direction of High-Quality Development

Cambodian Minister of Tourism, Hua Ha, attended the opening ceremony and presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony. He then toured the exhibition hall and engaged in in-depth exchanges with exhibitors. In his speech, he emphasized that this exhibition was not merely a simple product display, but a concentrated showcase of Cambodia's efforts to promote the standardization and high-quality development of tourism products and services. On the one hand, it provided an efficient platform for local producers, tourism operators, and consumers to connect; on the other hand, it offered valuable opportunities for cross-sectoral exchange for investors seeking business expansion, capacity upgrades, and the promotion of local brands.

Minister Hua Ha further pointed out that the exhibition facilitated in-depth dialogue between experts in the tourism industry and sectors such as catering, handicrafts, and agricultural products, which will open up more new paths for cross-sectoral collaboration for domestic suppliers and distributors, promoting the coordinated upgrading of the upstream and downstream of the tourism industry chain. Empowering Industrial Upgrading and Solidifying the Pillar of Green Economic Growth

This exhibition not only fostered a vibrant atmosphere for business matchmaking but also focused on the long-term development of the tourism industry: enriching tourists' immersive experiences by promoting high-value-added local handicrafts; strengthening the linkage between local manufacturers and high-end tourism services to increase the proportion of "Made in Cambodia" products in tourism consumption; and further consolidating the tourism industry's position as a core pillar of the country's green economic growth.

The successful holding of this exhibition marks a new stage of development for Cambodia's tourism industry, characterized by "diversified transformation, upgraded standards, and cross-border integration," laying a solid foundation for building a more competitive brand image in the international tourism market.
