
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of January 26, the Kandal Provincial Government of Cambodia held a meeting to deploy a special campaign to combat online fraud. Governor Guo Zhongnan attended and chaired the meeting, clearly requiring all levels of law enforcement agencies and public officials in the province to resolutely implement the central government's policies and work together to advance the fight against and prevention of online fraud.
This meeting was large in scale, fully demonstrating the provincial government's high regard for combating cybercrime. Attendees included commanders of the province's three armed forces and heads of various functional departments; mayors and police chiefs of the province's 13 cities and districts; and administrative heads and relevant staff of the province's 127 communes and districts.

In his speech, Governor Guo Zhongnan emphasized that combating online fraud is the core task of the provincial joint command. The command will further strengthen its cooperation mechanism with the Prosecutor's Office and the Provincial Court to carry out precise and severe crackdowns on illegal criminals operating within Kandal Province.
Regarding local jurisdiction, the governor issued clear instructions: all levels of government must strictly prohibit unauthorized foreigners from settling, residing, or illegally gathering within their jurisdictions; all public officials are strictly prohibited from participating in, harboring, or condoning any gatherings involving illegal foreigners, and violators will face severe legal penalties; landlords bear management responsibility and are absolutely prohibited from providing accommodation to illegally gathered individuals.

To improve governance effectiveness, Governor Guo Zhongnan encouraged civil servants to actively engage with the public and mobilize social forces to provide crime leads. He promised that the government would strictly protect the confidentiality of reported information to ensure that law enforcement agencies can take swift and decisive action.
At the end of the meeting, the governor pointed out that only by thoroughly eradicating the social problem of online fraud and eliminating security risks can the government alleviate its concerns and ensure that national leaders can concentrate on handling major matters concerning national interests, such as safeguarding territorial integrity.
