  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the afternoon of November 19th, Cambodian Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Committee for Combating Cyber ​​Fraud, Chhay Sinharith, held a working meeting with a delegation led by Niu Haifeng, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security of China. Both sides demonstrated their firm resolve and determination to cooperate closely in combating transnational cyber fraud.

  During the meeting, Chhay Sinharith emphasized the Cambodian government's unwavering determination and tireless efforts in combating cybercrime, and reported on the significant achievements Cambodia has made in recent operations. He pointed out that combating cybercrime is a complex and global issue, requiring close cooperation with international partners based on mutual trust to ultimately achieve the goal of effective crackdown and containment.

  Deputy Director Niu Haifeng expressed his sincere gratitude to the Cambodian authorities for their swift response and efficient cooperation in combating cybercrime. He specifically mentioned Cambodia's rapid arrest of Chinese citizens involved in the cases and the timely transfer of evidence related to technological fraud to the Chinese side for further investigation and prosecution.

  Deputy Director Niu highly praised the establishment of the Anti-Cyber ​​Fraud Committee under the direct leadership of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, and the significant achievements made in a short period following the issuance of a nationwide directive.

  Both sides also held in-depth discussions on follow-up steps to further deepen bilateral and multilateral law enforcement cooperation. Key areas included strengthening capacity building and exchanging experiences, with the aim of more effectively jointly combating tech fraud and other forms of cybercrime, and safeguarding the security of both countries and the property interests of their people.
