
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the afternoon of November 10th, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sok Sokha and South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun jointly attended and witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Cambodian National Police and the South Korean National Police Agency regarding the establishment of a Cambodia-South Korea Joint Working Group.
General Sok Thong, Commissioner General of the Cambodian National Police, and Mr. Yoo Jae-sung, Acting Commissioner General of the South Korean National Police Agency, signed the document on behalf of their respective parties, marking the official establishment of the "Cambodia-South Korea Joint Working Group."

The core functions and objectives of the working group include: coordinating various matters involving South Korean citizens in Cambodia; focusing on combating transnational crimes such as telecommunications and online fraud targeting South Korean citizens; and further deepening and expanding police cooperation between the two countries.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is a crucial step forward in law enforcement and security cooperation between Cambodia and South Korea, marking a new level in bilateral cooperation.

In recent years, transnational crime, especially telecommunications and online fraud, has been on the rise, posing a serious threat to the property safety of citizens of both countries. The two sides decided to establish a joint working group, which will help integrate law enforcement resources, improve the efficiency of combating crime, and jointly and effectively protect the property safety and legitimate rights and interests of the people of both countries.
With the signing of the agreement, the Cambodia-South Korea Joint Working Group Office was officially established at the Cambodian National Police General Commissariat.
