Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – With the support of the Australian government through the "Cambodia-Australia Resilient Economic Development Partnership" (CAPRED) project, Cambodia's KIRIROM FOOD PRODUCTION (KFP) Co., Ltd. has successfully exported its first batch of 20 tons of dried mangoes to the Australian market.

This successful export marks a significant step forward for Cambodia's high-quality agricultural products in expanding into international markets and reflects Australia's broad commitment to strengthening Cambodia's agricultural value chain and improving market access for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Through the CAPRED program, KFP has not only significantly improved its product quality and export readiness capabilities but has also established strong business ties with trading partners in Australia and other international markets.

In recent years, Cambodia's mango industry structure has been undergoing positive adjustments. According to data from the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, although Cambodia's fresh mango exports reached US$108 million and totaled over 200,000 tons in the first nine months of 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.63%, the actual export volume of fresh mangoes declined.

Mr. En Chhay, Director General of the General Department of Agriculture of Cambodia, pointed out that the decline in fresh mango exports is mainly due to local dried mango processing plants purchasing more fresh mangoes for processing and export to foreign markets. This indicates that Cambodian agriculture is shifting from exporting only fresh products to exporting higher value-added processed products, and KFP's dried mango exports are strong evidence of this trend.
