Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Accompanied by Jiang Nan, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, a delegation led by Wu Hailong, President of the China Public Diplomacy Association, visited the Cambodia-China Friendship Association on the afternoon of November 7th, and was warmly received by His Excellency Ai Senwo, President of the Association. The two sides held in-depth and friendly talks on further strengthening cooperation between the two associations, deepening Cambodia-China friendship, and cooperation in areas such as people-to-people exchanges, cultural exchange, and think tank collaboration.
Chan Sovannarith, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Cambodia-China Friendship Association, Dr. Chea Monile, Executive Committee Member, and Tong Xiaoling, Ambassador of the China Public Diplomacy Association, also participated in the event.

President Ai Senwo warmly welcomed President Wu Hailong and his delegation. He introduced that the Cambodia-China Friendship Association was established in 2000, initiated by then-Prime Minister Hun Sen, with the aim of promoting people-to-people exchanges and consolidating traditional friendship between the two countries. The Cambodia-China Friendship Association's office building, now in use, is a symbol of the friendship between the people of Cambodia and China and an important platform for cooperation between the two sides.

He expressed his belief that the delegation's visit would further promote the development of Cambodia-China friendship, particularly in exchanges and cooperation in the fields of youth, think tanks, and culture. He also hoped that the delegation would actively promote Cambodia's investment potential and business environment upon their return, attracting more Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Cambodia, and deepening bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
President Wu Hailong expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception from the Cambodia-China Friendship Association and highly praised Cambodia's remarkable achievements in political stability, economic development, and social progress in recent years.
He stated that this visit by the China Public Diplomacy Association to Cambodia was the first official delegation from the association, while this was only his second visit to this friendly land. His first visit was in 1993, when he was sent to Cambodia to participate in the election work organized by the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNCA). Compared to then, Cambodia today has undergone a complete transformation, with rapid national development and a significantly improved standard of living, fully demonstrating the wise leadership of the Cambodian government and the profound achievements of Cambodia-China cooperation.
Wu Hailong emphasized that China and Cambodia share an "ironclad friendship," a friendship that has a long history and remains strong. The China Public Diplomacy Association is willing to work hand in hand with the Cambodia-China Friendship Association to further build bridges for people-to-people exchanges, promote two-way interaction among young people, scholars and cultural figures, enhance mutual understanding and trust between the people of the two countries, and make new contributions to building a China-Cambodia community with a shared future.
