  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – With the approval of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has initiated an investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Li Jian, former member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transportation.

  An investigation revealed that Li Jian had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original aspirations and mission, and resisted organizational review; he disregarded the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation, sought special treatment, improperly allocated official vehicles, accepted gifts and banquets that could influence the impartial performance of his duties; he violated organizational principles, failed to report personal matters as required, improperly sought personnel benefits for others and accepted bribes; he breached the bottom line of integrity, accepted bribes that clearly exceeded normal social etiquette, engaged in profit-making activities in violation of regulations, and engaged in power-for-sex and money-for-sex transactions; he infringed upon the interests of the masses, improperly apportioned expenses; improperly interfered in and meddled in market economic activities; he was morally corrupt and decadent, pursued low-level interests; gambled; and was insatiably greedy, using public power as a tool to seize personal gain, engaging in large-scale power-for-money transactions, and using his position and the convenience afforded by his authority or status to seek benefits for others in project contracting, payment of project funds, and employee recruitment, illegally accepting huge amounts of money.

  Li Jian seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, mass discipline, work discipline, and lifestyle discipline, constituting serious job-related violations and suspected bribery crimes. Moreover, he did not restrain himself after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, making his actions serious in nature and having a negative impact, warranting severe punishment. Based on the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Disciplinary Sanctions of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Sanctions for Public Officials," after deliberation by the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and approval by the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, it was decided to expel Li Jian from the Party; the Guizhou Provincial Supervisory Commission will dismiss him from public office; his qualification as a delegate to the 13th Guizhou Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China will be terminated; his illegal gains will be confiscated; and his suspected crimes will be transferred to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution according to law, with all related assets transferred as well.
