Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The State Council Information Office recently held a regular policy briefing to introduce the "Implementation Plan on Enhancing the Matching of Supply and Demand for Consumer Goods and Further Promoting Consumption" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), jointly issued by six departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Miao Muyang, Director of the Industrial Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stated that the consumption of national trend products, cultural and creative products, and intangible cultural heritage products is currently showing a strong and vibrant demand, with many popular products emerging that are highly adaptable, offer a good experience, and are well-received by consumers. These products not only meet consumer demand but also enhance cultural identity and spiritual fulfillment. To ensure the effective implementation of the "Plan," the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will focus on both the supply and demand sides, concentrating on product innovation, scene revitalization, and activity innovation.
Regarding supporting the innovation of high-quality cultural and tourism products, the Ministry will continue to create high-quality IPs, implement a cultural and creative product enhancement action, guide the cultivation of high-quality and systematic development of "city gifts," promote high-quality products such as national trend cultural and creative products and time-honored intangible cultural heritage brands, and create more trend-setting "Chinese gifts." In terms of revitalizing cultural and tourism consumption scenarios, a number of high-quality intangible cultural heritage-related products and services will be launched, promoting the integration of excellent creativity and outstanding traditional Chinese culture into fashion design and cultivating the fashion consumption market; guiding various regions to further enrich integrated consumption scenarios such as urban strolls, rural stays, and camping leisure; and actively creating new digital and intelligent models of cultural and tourism such as immersive experiences, online performances, and digital art. In terms of guiding innovation in cultural and tourism consumption activities, national cultural and tourism consumption promotion activities will continue to be held; "Visit and Shop in the Countryside" activities will be held to find destinations for urban tourists and markets for rural products; brands such as "Travel with Performances" and "Travel with Sports Events" will be created to meet high-quality, diversified, and personalized consumption needs; support will be provided for holding regional cultural and tourism consumption promotion activities, and the implementation of regional integrated cultural and tourism consumption benefit measures will be explored; special events such as nighttime consumption will be enriched; and the policy of tax refunds for departing tourists will be implemented effectively, promoting the "buy and get refund immediately" measure to attract more overseas tourists to travel and shop in China.
