Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – In late November, the second batch of cadres from the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) completed their on-site work in development zones in 2025. Over two months, the teams promoted new breakthroughs in establishing and recruiting trade unions in eight economic and technological (high-tech industrial) development zones in Wuhan, Nanchang, Zhuzhou, Yantai, Xi'an, Yibin, Wuhu, and Shenyang. A total of 186 new trade union organizations were established in these eight development zones, covering 768 enterprises and attracting 26,963 members. It is understood that trade unions have now been generally established in development zones (industrial parks) at the provincial level and above nationwide.

This on-site work, launched in September, focused on five common goals: establishing and recruiting trade unions, improving the quality of trade unions, strengthening ideological and political guidance, promoting organizational development, providing practical rights protection services, promoting harmony and stability, and enhancing digital empowerment. Each team conducted extensive research, publicity, and service at the grassroots level, promoting the improvement and efficiency of trade union work in the eight development zones according to local conditions.

Among them, the Xi'an task force, with the joint efforts of the Shaanxi Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, the Xi'an Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and the China Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Trade Union, promoted the establishment of the Economic and Technological Development Zone Federation of Trade Unions, convened its first workers' congress, and, along with task forces in Wuhu, Wuhan, and Yibin, achieved full coverage of trade union establishment among large-scale enterprises in their respective development zones; the Nanchang task force guided and promoted the establishment of 45 new trade union organizations, covering 481 non-public enterprises; the Yantai task force guided and promoted the establishment of two county-level regional and industry-specific trade union federations; the Shenyang task force guided the development zone trade union in establishing 10 working systems and mechanisms, organized symposiums and exchanges with 53 non-public enterprise trade unions, and promoted the deepening of trade union organization from "tangible coverage" to "effective coverage"; the Zhuzhou task force organized 15 publicity activities, and so on.

It is understood that this task force work has conducted more than 20 training sessions for grassroots trade union cadres, guided 276 grassroots trade union organizations to strengthen standardized construction, established or revised more than 30 trade union working systems, helped improve the performance capabilities of grassroots trade union cadres, and consolidated the foundation of trade union work. Meanwhile, 32 labor and skills competitions were held, 55 themed educational activities such as "Chinese Workers' Ideological and Political Education Class" and model worker lectures were organized, 42 collective bargaining sessions were guided and promoted in enterprises, and 3,274 frontline workers received assistance and support, effectively promoting more harmonious and stable labor relations in enterprises within the development zone.

After this on-site observation period, the team will continue to follow up on the implementation of the featured work of the observed units, conduct regular follow-up visits, and continuously promote the standardization of trade union work in the development zone to ensure that the work is implemented effectively.

This year, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions launched two batches of on-site observation work. The first batch of on-site observation work in key platform enterprises helped 7 platform enterprises achieve 100% unionization rate in 120 branches in key cities.
