
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Coinciding with the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Russian traditional "Winter Farewell Festival," the "Welcoming the New Year and Sending Off Winter Together: When Dumplings Meet Brinbiscuits – Greenwood Sino-Russian Cultural Exchange Experience" event, jointly organized by Chengtong International and the Krasnogorsk Municipal Government of Moscow Oblast, was held in Moscow on the 17th. More than 500 representatives from governments, enterprises, cultural institutions, universities, media, and communities of both China and Russia participated in the event.
Zhang Wei, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, reviewed the achievements of the past year, including successful mutual visits by the heads of state of China and Russia, joint commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the anti-fascist war, continued positive economic and trade cooperation, and the successful conclusion of the Sino-Russian Cultural Year. He emphasized that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Sino-Russian strategic partnership of coordination, the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between China and Russia, and the launch of the Sino-Russian Year of Education. He pointed out that this event is a contemporary interpretation of the traditional festival culture of the two countries and a pragmatic action to promote people-to-people exchanges.
Podlipensky, First Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region, stated that in the past year, trade between the region's enterprises and China accounted for nearly 10% of the total trade between Russia and China. The region government has organized numerous delegations to visit Beijing, Chongqing, Liaoning, Guangdong, Anhui, and other places to conduct investment matchmaking. He emphasized that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, bilateral relations have maintained a stable development momentum, and local cooperation has continued to deepen and become more practical.

Sun Bohui, Chairman of China Chengtong International Holdings Limited, stated that the Greenwood Park, in its 16 years of operation, has attracted over 400 companies, becoming an important public service platform for jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative. This event, using dumplings and bulimia as cultural symbols, showcased the unique charm of Chinese and Russian festival cultures. In the future, Greenwood will continue to leverage its platform advantages to promote cultural exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.
At the event, a powerful lion dance performance kicked off the event, instantly igniting the enthusiasm of the audience; a martial arts performance, combining strength and grace, won rounds of applause. A Russian youth song and dance troupe and band presented folk songs and dances rich in national characteristics. Interactive activities such as circle dances, ribbon carousels, and "dancing with bears" elicited bursts of laughter. At the food fair, the aroma of dumplings and bulimia biscuits mingled, becoming a popular cultural link; a variety of Chinese and Russian snacks, including candied hawthorns, barbecue, and pickled cucumbers, satisfied the guests' appetites. A paper-cutting master class was taught by Irina Zakharova, a meritorious artist of Russia, allowing Chinese and foreign guests to experience the charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage through small pieces of red paper. In the outdoor square, traditional folk games such as pitch-pot, giant matryoshka bowling, tug-of-war, and kangaroo jump were held simultaneously, with Chinese and Russian people competing on the same field, their cheers and laughter echoing throughout.
