Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to British media reports, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated on the 16th that the UK will "accelerate" its goal of spending 3% of GDP on defense.

According to Sky News, Starmer stated that the UK's defense spending also depends on "coordination and cooperation with like-minded countries, especially European countries."

Last year, the UK announced that it would increase its defense spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2027 and to 3% by 2029.

On the 14th, at the Munich Security Conference in Germany, Starmer called on Europe to "be prepared for battle." He said that Europe is a "sleeping giant" with enormous defense capabilities, but these capabilities often fail to be effectively coordinated. Starmer also stated that the UK is no longer the UK it was after Brexit, adding, "Without Europe, there is no British security; without the UK, there is no European security."
