  In his congratulatory message, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President of China, pointed out that since the 13th CPC National Congress, the Communist Party of Vietnam has adhered to the path of socialist modernization suited to its national conditions, strengthened the Party's overall leadership, and led the Vietnamese people to achieve remarkable achievements in socialist construction and reform, continuously enhancing its international status and influence. Xi Jinping stated that the successful convening of the 14th CPC National Congress has ushered in a new era of development for the Vietnamese nation and will inject impetus into the development of the world socialist movement. He expressed his belief that under the leadership of the new CPC Central Committee headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will surely achieve new and greater successes in the cause of the Party and the country, and successfully complete the goals and tasks set forth at the 14th CPC National Congress.
